Hello Everyone!! For This week's blog, I am going to introduce you guys a newbie boy band that just got to debut during last week.
For Produce 101 season 2’s fans, I guess most of them have already heard about 'JBJ'. Actually, JBJ (or Just Be Joyful) begins as a special project request by Produce 101 season 2’s fans. The fans are planned to create a boy band consisting of seven contestants from Produce 101 season 2, who did not made to be top 11 in the final elimination (their rankings are at 20th - 30th). Surprisingly, Their desire of forming JBJ has become true!

JBJ (Just Be Joyful) is a special project boy band consisting 6 members, Noh Taehyun, Takada Kenta, Kim Yongguk, Kim Sanggyun, Kwon Hyunbin and Kim Donghan, under FAVE Entertainment. Their contract will last only for 7 months; however, the contract can be prolonged if JBJ's popularity rise to a specific point.

Originally, JBJ members supposed to be 7members band, Noh Taehyun, Takada Kenta, Kim Sangkyun, Kim Yongguk, Kim Taedong, Kwon Hyunbin and Kim Donghan. Unfortunately, Kim Taedong cannot make it to be a part of JBJ members since he is still in conflict with his agency.

On 18th October, They have released the music video …. and it is lit! the song is great, the music videos vibes is really cool and mysterious, the choreography is so on point …..most important of all, they are all looking good!!
JBJ also held a showcase at Korea University’s Hwajung Gymnasium on 18th October, their debut day. On the ticket booking day, all 5,000 seats were sold out within three minutes. During the showcase, they performed both their title track ‘Fantasy’ and other side tracks, also some interviewing with the members.
After I have watched the performance videos, the member who impressed me the most is Hyunbin. Since I have seen him during Produce 101 season 2 and comparing to him as JBJ member, he has improved a lot, from a person who lacked of skills and practices, now he is able to perform confidently. Other members’ stage presence also outstanding and they all become more charismatic!
Also, before getting to officially debut as JBJ, they had a short variety show called ‘잘봐줘JBJ (Take a good look at JBJ)’ via V app and M-net digital channel M2 , first broadcasted on 27th and 28th September. The show emphasizes on JBJ’s everyday life, their album preparations, chemistry amongst JBJ members, and the process of making both the fans’ and the idols’ dreams come true. Personally, I really like their variety show because all members have good sense of humor and can get along together well that will not make the viewers feel uncomfortable towards their show. I laugh so hard that my stomach hurt allthrough the show XD

They debuted with their first mini album ‘Fantasy’ with the title track ‘Fantasy’.

The debut mini album consisted of 6 songs, some members (Kwon Hyunbin and Kim Sanggyun) have participated in writing the lyrics for the title track ‘Fantasy’ and a side track ‘Say my name’.

ลบTheir debut song is sooo good! Sanggyun is my favorite, I stan him since he was still in Topp Dogg. I always thought it's a shame that his talent had no opportunity to shine since Topp Dogg is a very uderrated group, but when he got into Produce 101, he became much more famous. Now he has all the fame and recognition he had always deserved! : )
ตอบลบI totally agree with you about Topp Dogg, they are not supposed to be underrated at all because the members are very talented. I used to listen to their songs too, so sad that they stop promoting and some members start to leave the group. Hope that other members who participated 'The Unit' will be able gain their popularity back again, just like Sanggyun! ( p.s. Sanggyun's rap is sooooo cool)
